Bonfire Ministries is built upon the biblical proposition that global church-to-church partnerships involving short-term mission trips are a meaningful and significant means to catalyze the mission of God around the world. These partnerships are often very effective because of several observable premises.

First, certain international churches and Christian workers lack the resources they need to effectively fulfill their mission, whether the lack be in training and equipping, financial resources, ministry resources, capital resources, or particular knowledge and expertise.

Second, many normative-sized churches exist in the United States without any current direct partnership with missionary work around the world. These churches often possess resources in people, prayer, and provisions that could be utilized in the context of ministry partnerships around the world.

Third, many of these churches that are not engaged in substantial partnerships desire substantial international ministry partnerships, but do not for many reasons, including uncertainty of planning, travel and logistics, fear of persecution, or lack of international contacts and understanding of needs.

The goal of Bonfire Ministries is to bring this proposition and premises together in a strategic, sustainable manner, whereby normative-sized churches in the United States develop partnerships with under-resourced churches around the world which results in the global church being encouraged and built up to carry out the mission of God in their context to the thanksgiving and glory of God.
